Sámuel Baló founded his trio in 2020, together with Ambus Richter and Márk Miskolczi. The compositions, which form the backbone of the repertoire and are mainly written by Sámuel Baló, give space and freedom for improvisation and musical communication between the members — so that they sound different every time, take on a different tone and remain fresh.
Other special features of tonight’s show is the contribution of two Vienna-based musicians, Sara Hoffer on Saxophone and Josef Fuchsberger on trumpet, These two instruments add colour to the concert and give an exciting “melody boost” to the compositions, which were originally written for a trio setup.
