Naomi Yu & Friends

***Naomi Yu, was born in Taiwan, currently lives in Vienna. Her love of music began at the age of nine as a choir singer and pianist. She presents her love and passion for jazz to enthusiastic audiences at music festivals and well-known venues. Her voice is rich in nuances and she easily manages to take the listener into her world. Discovering herself on this musical journey is at the core of Naomi’s inspiration. Calmness and a big heart characterise her creative approach. Come travel with her through the wondrous world of music.
Guitar
***Fu Ping Ryu is a classical and jazz guitarist from Taiwan. Entitled with a first prize in classical guitar competition in Paris and composition competition in Brussels, he traveled around in Europe and Asia to share his music with people. Apart from serious music, he is also a huge fan in ethnic music from all over the world such as Choro, Samba, Flamenco, etc.. He released his first album To Tell an Earthly Orchid in 2022, which consists of his classical compositions and jazz arrangements on classical guitar.
Double Bass
***Victoria Kirilova is a Bulgarian bass player and composer, based in Vienna. Her music is a mixture of various influences – from contemporary jazz and chamber music to the poetry and grooves of Bulgarian traditional chants and odd rhythms. Graduated from the conservatories in Milan and Vienna, Victoria is a winner of the Start-Scholarship of the Austrian Ministry of Art and Culture, of Fidelio Competition and Premio delle Arti. She has appearances at venues, such as Firenze Jazz Festival, Bergamo Jazz, Jazz al Parque (Bogota), Medejazz (Medellin), Amman Jazzfestival, A to Jazz Festival(Sofia), BOZAR (Brussels), Konzerthaus (Vienna), Wenshui Art Hall (Taipei). Victoria has participated at artistic residencies, such as Halaqat (Goethe Institut) and I AM ABROAD (Taller de Musics). Her debut album as a leader “Roots&Skies” will be published in March 2025 for Da Vinci Records.
