LARRY LOFQUIST – Pleasant St. – Solo Jazz Piano

Once in a blue moon, Larry brings us a solo show! Come by to hear some select songs that live beyond the well-loved standards. The program is called „Pleasant St.“ in honor of the musicians‘ crash pad in Boston where many of these rare finds were produced.

Larry Lofquist has been playing piano an embarrassingly long time. Previously he played clarinet, saxophone and flute until those instruments were either stolen or sold to pay the rent. He has done a lot of solo piano work, and he enjoys accompanying singers. Musically, his sparse style displays rather rich harmonic textures and a love of melody.
