JAZZ VEČE — Katarina Kochetova

We invite you to an evening of jazz in the heart of Vienna, aimed at raising funds for the release of Katarina’s new album, which is also part of the Serbian Center’s mission – to support and promote young artists and their art.

On Thursday, September 25, starting at 8:00 PM, at Frau Mayer – a well-known spot for jazz lovers – Katarina will perform alongside her colleagues David Dolliner (double bass) and Chris Parker (drums).

Katarina Kočetova is a pianist, composer, and vocalist who has distinguished herself as one of the leading voices on the European jazz scene.

She has performed with many renowned jazz musicians, including Seamus Blake, Ari Hoenig, Jure Pukl, Alex Hitchcock, Joe Sanders, Ben Tiberio, Felix Rossy, Håkan Broström, Robert Nordmark, Vladimir Kostadinović, Karl-Henrik Ousbäck, and many others.

In 2023, Kočetova recorded her debut album Beyond Motion with original trio compositions, featuring Jure Pukl on tenor saxophone and Joander Cruz on alto saxophone. The album was released in June 2024 and was named one of the Top 100 Jazz Albums of 2024 by JAZZIT magazine.

Admission is free, and during the evening you will have the opportunity to contribute to the release of Katarina’s new album.
