Adonis Athineos Quintett

The “Adonis Athineos Quintet” was formed in spring 2024 by saxophonist and composer Adonis Athineos. The band’s focus lies in blending modern jazz with traditional music from the Middle East and the Mediterranean region – a strong influence rooted in the bandleader’s Greek heritage. The repertoire consists of original compositions, which were first performed at Adonis’ bachelor’s graduation concert as part of the final performances of Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK).
